Golf Course Committee

Our Mission: To work with Park and Golf Course Management and staff and the Friends of Saratoga Spa State Park to help make the courses more accessible and functional for all who enjoy playing golf at the Spa Park.

Updates:

1. Tee caddies have been placed at each hole to be used to discard broken tees.
2. The brush has been cut back from around the benches that are near the woods.
3. The renovation of the Starter’s building is almost complete. Friends have been busy cleaning the inside of the building by discarding accumulated unwanted debris. Scraping and painting has been done to the outside. Some boards have been replaced and new signs and gutters are coming soon!

Our Ongoing Goals:

1. Replace and paint the seating on the concrete benches.
2. Have ball washers at every other hole.
3. Have a new bench at the third hole.
4. Help to increase Friend membership and seek donations for Par 29 enhancements.
5. Seek funding for continuing improvements by pursuing grants.
6. Seek improvement suggestions from players
