The Coesa restoration project was revised again in July and now it is close to completion. The project now back at the Coesa spring house, includes the (almost completed) restoration of the original c. 1920 spring house, a paved patio with benches over looking the pond, and a pedestal fountain and catch basin. The installation of an interpretive sign at the spring house and another near the Coesa picnic area will be installed in the spring. A bench is planned for that area also. Once the water is turned on it will provide access to the Coesa mineral water for the first time in nearly 30 years.
The Friends were awarded a $75,000 grant from Parks & Trails New York in conjunction with the Office of New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation for the restoration efforts.
Work started on restoring the historic spring house in Summer 2022 (See below for progress photos and updates).
